Jones Invites Residents to Free Shredding Event

April 6, 2026

ELIZABETHTOWN – Residents of the district can dispose of documents with sensitive information at a shredding event hosted by Rep. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster/Lebanon).

The free shredding event will be held on Thursday, April 30, from 4-6 p.m. in the parking lot of Saint Paul’s Church, 398 N. Locust St., Elizabethtown

“Shredding documents with important information on them is a key step in preventing identity theft,” Jones said. “This event gives residents a means to safely destroy documents, so they don’t fall into the wrong hands.”

Attendees are encouraged to have unneeded documents with important information, such as bank and credit card account information or Social Security numbers, on them shredded.

Only three boxes or bags of paper per household are permitted. Magazines and books will not be accepted. No businesses, please. To register, please call Jones’ office at 717-367-5525, or go to the events tab on RepTomJones.com
