Jones Sworn in to Second Term in Office
1/7/2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster/Lebanon) joined fellow members of the House of Representatives to take the oath of office and begin his second term serving the people of the 98th Legislative District.
“I am thankful for the trust that has been placed in me to represent the people of our district in Harrisburg. This is a job I will never take lightly. I will always do my best to make sure the interests of our community are heard loud and clear,” Jones said.
Jones will continue to work to uphold the sanctity of life, protect Second Amendment rights, give parents strong influence regarding their children’s education and fight to ensure hard-working Pennsylvanians can keep more of their own money by voting to keep government spending in check.
“I look forward to continuing the work we started last session. House Republicans put forth solid, viable alternatives to Democratic legislation,” Jones said. “I believe our alternatives would be a greater benefit to all Pennsylvanians and it is my hope that it will be strongly considered as we get underway this session. I will always be a voice for commonsense legislation that respects taxpayers’ freedom and doesn’t increase the size of government.”
The 98th Legislative District includes parts of Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Municipalities in the district are Elizabethtown, Marietta, Mounty Joy and Mount Gretna, as well as East Donegal, West Donegal, Conoy, Mount Joy, South Londonderry and South Annville townships.
